By accessing or using the site, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree with any part of these Terms, you must not use the website.

Carreb helps you see the estimated cost of owning different new cars over time, including running costs and CO₂ emissions
Our data comes from government sources, manufacturer specs, and industry averages.
We use our own mathematical models and algorithms, in collaboration with the latest AI, to show estimated costs and emissions tailored to your location and usage.
These are estimates only—they’re not financial advice or guarantees.
Carreb displays typical or indicative drive away prices based on publicly available manufacturer pricing, standard on-road costs, and applicable taxes, fees and Government incentives, discounts or rebates. Carreb does not display special dealer offers, promotional pricing, or negotiated discounts unless specifically supplied by the dealer for inclusion.
Carreb enables users to update and customise saved vehicle pricing in the MyGarage feature to reflect actual quotes received from dealerships. This ensures that cost comparisons and ownership estimates can be tailored to each user’s personal circumstances.
Users are responsible for entering accurate pricing information when customising these estimates. Carreb makes no guarantee that displayed prices will match any dealer’s final offer, and all users are encouraged to confirm pricing directly with their chosen dealer before making a purchasing decision.
Spotlight and RideReveal offer one-time, non-recurring purchases. Spotlight Unlock provides permanent access to all badges for all vehicles saved in MyGarage. RideReveal unlocks apply to individual cars in your MyGarage. Purchases are final, non-transferable, and non-refundable.
You should always check important details with a dealer or advisor before buying.
Users are encouraged to review and update variables and assumptions in the MyGarage section to improve the accuracy and relevance of their results.
Carreb is independent: advertisers don’t influence our cost or emissions calculations.

Intellectual Property

WAll content on this website, including the CORE™ Rating, Smart Finder outputs, text, graphics, and software, is the intellectual property of Carreb or its licensors, and is protected under applicable copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. Users are granted a limited, non-transferable, and non-exclusive license to access and use the site for personal, non-commercial purposes only.

Use of Data and Content

The data presented by Carreb is derived from publicly available sources, government data, and manufacturer specifications. Carreb aggregates, models, and presents this information using proprietary algorithms and third-party data processors for educational and informational use only.

Vehicle Limits

The total number of vehicles you may store in your Carreb account depends on your subscription level. Your limit includes all vehicles that are currently visible in MyGarage as well as those you have chosen to archive. Please refer to our Subscription Plan descriptions for current limits. Exceeding the allowed total number of vehicles (including archived vehicles) may require you to upgrade your subscription.

Disclaimer of Commercial Negotiation

Carreb Pty Ltd is an independent information platform designed to help consumers understand the true cost of vehicle ownership, including fuel, servicing, finance, insurance, depreciation, and emissions. We do not act as a broker, agent, or negotiator for any buyer or seller. All pricing displayed, including indicative driveaway or dealer-supplied offers, is for informational purposes only and remains subject to each dealership’s terms and conditions. We do not guarantee any particular price, discount, or availability.

Third-Party References, Data Use, and Liability Waiver

Carreb uses data from publicly available and reputable third-party sources — including manufacturer-published specifications, trusted government datasets, and internationally recognised emissions benchmarks (e.g. WLTP, ADR, Euro 6/7). We do not alter or fabricate this data. Instead, we apply independently developed algorithms and standardised economic modelling to present it in a simplified, user-focused format for educational and decision-support purposes.

While we implement validation checks and continually improve our modelling, we do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or ongoing availability of third-party data. This includes, but is not limited to, emissions values, fuel or electricity costs, vehicle pricing, promotional offers, and servicing estimates. Carreb expressly disclaims liability for any discrepancies, outdated information, or disruptions that may arise from such sources, and for any resulting changes to platform outputs or user decisions.

Carreb is not affiliated with, sponsored by, or endorsed by any car manufacturer, dealership, marketplace, or comparison service. Any third-party trademarks, names, or logos appear strictly for identification purposes and do not imply partnership or commercial association.

Importantly, Carreb does not provide vehicle reviews or subjective opinions. Our outputs — including the CORE™ Rating, Cost of Ownership (COO) estimates, and CO₂ assessments — are the result of factual calculations grounded in consistent methodology. These figures are not intended, and must not be construed, as misleading, defamatory, or commercially prejudicial.

All vehicle assessments and comparisons on the Carreb platform are provided in the public interest to support transparency in cost-of-living, environmental awareness, and responsible purchasing decisions. Accordingly, Carreb asserts its rights under Australian consumer law, fair use principles, and freedom of expression protections.

By using this platform, all users and third-party stakeholders acknowledge and accept that Carreb shall bear no liability for any alleged reputational harm, commercial loss, or market impact arising from the lawful publication of fact-based vehicle outputs — unless it can be proven that the information was materially false, published with malicious intent, and caused demonstrable harm. The burden of such proof rests solely on the complainant.

Disclaimer on Consumer and Business Decisions

Carreb provides information and calculated metrics such as the CORE™ Rating, Cost of Ownership estimates, CO₂ impact modelling and Estimated savings solely for general information purposes. These outputs are derived using proprietary algorithms and models that incorporate publicly available specifications, manufacturer data, industry research, government datasets, user-provided inputs, and certain economic and usage assumptions.

While Carreb aims to provide information that is accurate and useful, the figures and outputs on the site are indicative only. They do not constitute financial, environmental, or legal advice, and must not be relied upon as a substitute for personal or professional consultation. Vehicle ownership costs and emissions performance may vary significantly based on driving behaviour, geography, fuel price fluctuations, insurer discretion, vehicle usage patterns, or unlisted factors.

Carreb accepts no responsibility or liability for any vehicle purchase, lease, financial commitment, investment decision, or business transaction undertaken by a user based in whole or in part on the outputs or tools provided through the Carreb platform. All users acknowledge and accept full responsibility for their vehicle-related choices.

AI-Assisted Data Sources and Limitations

Carreb’s platform may incorporate outputs generated through AI-assisted tools, including AI-enhanced data retrieval or summarisation from third-party public sources. While efforts are made to validate information used in our CORE™ Rating and cost estimates, AI-generated content may occasionally reflect outdated, incorrect, or contextually inaccurate data.

Carreb does not warrant the absolute accuracy or completeness of AI-assisted results and disclaims all liability arising from reliance on such content. Users are encouraged to independently verify key information where critical to their vehicle-related decisions and update information in the MyGarage section accordingly.

Driveaway Price Disclaimer

Carreb displays typical or indicative driveaway prices based on publicly available manufacturer pricing, standard on-road costs, and applicable taxes or fees. Carreb does not display special dealer offers, promotional pricing, or negotiated discounts unless specifically supplied by the dealer for inclusion.

Prior to launch, Carreb invited dealerships to provide such pricing data; however, no participating dealers supplied this information.

Actual prices and incentives may vary significantly between dealerships and regions. Users hould confirm all pricing details with their chosen dealer before making any purchasing decision.

Dealer Referrals and Customisation in MyGarage

Carreb provides users with a “BUY” button that links to the websites of third-party dealerships or marketplaces. This feature is offered purely for user convenience to help research and purchase vehicles they have shortlisted in Carreb’s MyGarage tool. Carreb does not sell vehicles, broker sales, or guarantee any pricing, financing, potential savings or availability on dealer sites. All transactions, negotiations, and final pricing remain strictly between the user and the selected dealer or platform.

Carreb encourages users to customise their saved vehicle profiles within MyGarage to reflect actual quotes, special dealer offers, financing terms, servicing packages, or other ownership costs that may significantly affect the true Cost of Ownership (COO), CO₂ impact, and estimated savings. This customisation feature is provided to help users compare vehicles fairly and accurately based on their personal circumstances and negotiated deals.

Carreb accepts no responsibility for any variations in price, availability, financing terms, or promotional offers between Carreb’s displayed estimates and the final terms offered by any dealer or seller. Users are solely responsible for verifying all details before making any purchasing decision.

Right to Reply and Corrections Policy

Carreb is committed to providing accurate, fair, and transparent vehicle comparisons and ratings based on reputable data sources and consistent modelling methodologies. We recognise that manufacturers, dealerships, or other stakeholders may wish to clarify, correct, or contest information presented on our platform.

If you believe that any vehicle data, cost estimate, CO₂ emissions value, or CORE™ Rating displayed by Carreb is materially inaccurate or misleading, you may submit a formal request for review (a “Right to Reply” submission). Such requests should include:

Clear identification of the specific data or rating being contested
Detailed evidence or supporting documentation demonstrating the alleged inaccuracy
The correction or clarification you propose

Carreb will review all Right to Reply submissions in good faith and may request additional information to assess the claim. Where Carreb determines that a material error exists, we will update or correct the relevant data or output as soon as reasonably practicable.

Carreb reserves sole discretion over whether and how to amend published content, taking into account data reliability, consistency with our methodology, regulatory standards, and the public interest in transparent comparisons.

Carreb aims to acknowledge all such submissions within 14 business days and to complete investigations and provide a response within a reasonable timeframe.

Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Queensland, Australia. Any disputes arising under or in connection with these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Queensland.

Australian Consumer Law Notice

Nothing in these Terms excludes, restricts or modifies any consumer guarantee, right or remedy conferred by the Australian Consumer Law that cannot be excluded, restricted or modified by agreement. Where permitted, Carreb limits its liability in relation to such guarantees to supplying the services again or paying the cost of having them supplied again.

No Duty of Care

Carreb provides its platform and information on an 'as is' and 'as available' basis. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Carreb disclaims any duty of care or fiduciary responsibility to users, customers, or third parties. Use of the site and reliance on its outputs are entirely at the user's own discretion and risk.

Force Majeure

Carreb shall not be liable for any failure or delay in performance arising out of or caused by, directly or indirectly, forces beyond its control, including but not limited to acts of God, pandemics, government actions, internet or infrastructure failures, third-party service disruptions, server downtime, natural disasters, war, terrorism, or labour disputes. In such cases, Carreb’s obligations will be suspended to the extent affected by such events.

Class Action Waiver

All users agree that any claims, disputes, or legal proceedings arising from or related to use of this site shall be brought solely in an individual capacity. No claim may be pursued or maintained as part of a class action, representative action, or collective proceeding without the prior written consent of Carreb.

Platform Evolution and Output Modifications

Carreb reserves the right to update, revise, or recalibrate any data inputs, modelling methodologies, scoring systems (including CORE™ Ratings), or displayed outputs at any time, without prior notice, in response to new information, user feedback, regulatory shifts, or improvements in data science or algorithmic performance.

Carreb is not a car dealership, lender, or broker. It does not sell vehicles, offer finance, or receive commission from third-party sales. Carreb provides data-driven tools and insights to help users assess vehicle cost-of-ownership, CO₂ impact, and potential savings using a freemium-access model. Basic features are available at no cost, while advanced features may require subscription access. Pricing and service tiers are subject to change.

Users agree to provide accurate and current information when using the platform, particularly when entering vehicle preferences, usage, and financial parameters. Inaccurate inputs may materially affect calculated outputs, and Carreb accepts no responsibility for decisions made based on erroneous or incomplete user data.

While Carreb strives to ensure all estimates are based on reliable sources and up-to-date methods, we do not guarantee the accuracy of resale values, fuel or electricity pricing, tax rebates, or emission regulations. Such figures are indicative only and should not be relied upon as financial advice or guarantees of future performance.
